Matched College Savings Program

The Matched College Savings Program (MCSP) is a matched savings account (also known as an individual development account, or IDA) for Oregon’s current and future students to pursue post-secondary education. MCSP is offered at eleven of Oregon’s leading private, nonprofit institutions through a formal partnership between The Alliance and the Community and Shelter Assistance Corp. of Oregon (CASA of Oregon).  MCSP creates access and opportunity for students from all backgrounds to succeed by attending one of Oregon’s foremost private, nonprofit colleges or universities.

MCSP serves Oregon students from households with limited financial resources while also reaching underserved populations (e.g. students of color, first generation students and non-native English speakers). MCSP promotes positive financial behavior by rewarding students for their active participation and savings. The Alliance is grateful to the PGE FoundationUnion Bank, PCC Structurals, ESCO Foundation and the Juan Young Trust, among others for their investment in the Matched College Savings Program.
