Jade Pham is one of Corban’s prestigious political science McLaran Scholars and the recipient of the Beyond Adversity LSAT prep award. She is also already using her Corban education to make a difference in helping to end human trafficking. Jade recently served with an anti-human trafficking ministry in Thailand—an opportunity that began in a Corban classroom, when asked to present on how her major could fit in mission work. Jade connected with a missionary who encouraged her to participate in a trip to Thailand to aid in anti-human trafficking work. While in Thailand, Jade worked with several organizations that serve poor and marginalized children and teach English to at-risk children who come from vulnerable environments. Jade wants to be part of the big picture of social justice after graduation, either overseas or in the states. “I know this is what I want to do with my life,” she said. “I need to be a part of the solution.”
