The E3 Program has influenced my decision to continue enrollment at Warner because I know that there are resources there for me.
Why did you choose your college and major?
I chose Warner because it was close to home and what my parents could afford. I chose psychology and criminal justice because I hope to make a change in my community. Mental health is important and sometimes people in the justice system need mental health help instead of incarceration.
After graduation, I plan to…
After graduation, I plan to work in the police department as a criminal profiler.
In one of the first few weeks of the school year, I was introduced to one of the best photographers and kindest students on campus. This student asked me if I could model for him. I asked him why me out of all the possible people that go to the school. His answer to me was because of my impact in our school and in the soccer team. Thus, a series of photos were taken, one of which you see today.

First off, I would like to thank all of the donors who made this possible. I wouldn’t be here if it were not for their help. Thank you! I chose WPU because of the impact that I knew a Christian school would make in my life. I wanted to be part of a small community and make an impact in the lives of my fellow peers, as well as get a degree that I knew would hold value after graduation. I decided to go the business route because I have been an entrepreneur ever since I was in elementary school. Entrepreneurship is engraved into my mind and heart!

Invest more time and money into my small business and pursue a career that I love and know will make an impact in the community.

The E3 program was meaningful to me because it provided me funding when I needed it the most. Thank you, for all that you do for students, it really does go a long way in my future as a nursing student.
What has the E3 program taught you about saving and investing?
One of the topics that was taught to us was on credit cards and how to build our credit. Thanks to the program, I was able to understand how important it is to build credit from a young age, in order to do things like buy a house and a car in the future. After learning about credit, I reached out to my bank and began a credit card account and have seen my credit history expand and improve.
To what extent has your participation in the E3 Matched College Savings Program influenced your decision to continue enrollment at your college?
The program offered me the funding that I needed to enroll in this current school year. Otherwise, I would have had to take a gap semester and work full time to pay for tuition. I am very thankful for this funding because now I will be able to live on campus for the upcoming semester, making this academic school year easier.
Why did you choose your college and major?
I chose Linfield because of its amazing and noncompetitive nursing program. I fell in love with not only the campus size and small class sizes, but also with the area. I love the nature that surrounds campus and how green it is. The architecture of Linfield really caught my eye and it has been my dream school since high school.

Also, it taught me how to look for the right credit card for me and how to be smart about making money decisions when buying a house, car, etc.
To what extent has your participation in the E3 Matched College Savings Program influenced your decision to continue enrollment at your college?
Without the E3 matching college saving program, I would not have been able to afford my education in the college I am enrolled at. My parents are currently living in Mexico, so it has been hard for them to help afford school. I am a full-time student who works two jobs at school, but even with that I don't make enough income to afford my tuition. This program has helped me to afford my education at Linfield University.
Why did you choose your college and major?
I chose Linfield University because of the strong community and smaller class sizes. English is not my first language, so it was important for me to establish close relationships with other students and my professors. I am majoring in biology with a pre-medicine concentration and wine studies. The reason why I am majoring in biology is because I want to go to medical school and obtain a career as a doctor or a surgeon. My freshman year at Linfield I took a wine class and fell in love with it. That is how I decided that I also wanted to major in wine studies. It is something completely different than biology that I also enjoy learning about and look forward to one day having my own vineyard.
After graduation, I plan to…
After graduation, I plan to enroll in medical school to pursue my dream career as a surgeon or doctor, while working in a vineyard. I want to obtain more knowledge about grapevines and someday have my own vineyard and produce wine.

Minor: Chinese
Why was this E3 matching funding meaningful to you?
I consider myself extremely blessed to be one of the E3 recipients. E3 allows me to focus on my education and participate in extracurricular activities by reducing my out-of-pocket expenses. Without E3, I would have to take out loans and work another part-time job to meet the expense of tuition and books. Thank you so much for your kindness. Simply thanking you is insufficient to express my deep gratitude for your generosity, which has allowed me to further my study.
What has the E3 program taught you about saving and investing?
I've learned a lot about saving and investing thanks to E3. Saving is essential since it protects you in the event of a financial crisis. Saving money can also assist you in making significant purchases, avoiding debt, reducing financial stress, and gaining a greater sense of financial independence. I learned about the many types of investing, as well as the benefits and risks of investing, throughout the E3 program. This isn't something I'll probably learn in school.
To what extent has your participation in the E3 Matched College Savings Program influenced your decision to continue enrollment at your college?
A lot. I was able to pay off my tuition for the first two years of college with the support of E3. I didn't need to borrow money. This is extremely beneficial to me because I did not want to finish with a large amount of student debt.
Why did you choose your college and major?
I chose Lewis & Clark College because it is a small liberal arts college with reduced class sizes, which allows me to get to know both my professor and my classmates better. Furthermore, Lewis & Clark College is a beautiful campus that is only 40 minutes away from my home. I have independence and am gaining college experience while staying near to my family. I decided on Asian studies as a degree since it piqued my curiosity. All the other majors that were available to me were uninteresting to me. Learning about the culture, history, and traditions of China's countries, as well as learning a new language, is a fascinating experience.
After graduation, I plan to…
Following graduation, I intend to work for a company that assists the refugee community. I want to be able to put the knowledge and talents I've acquired in college to good use. I am extremely passionate about improving access to resources for underserved communities.

Why did you choose your college and major?
I chose Corban University because I am passionate about their Christian ministry degree. I’ve learned a ton from it and I knew that it would equip me for my future, both in the workplace and in terms of personal growth.
After graduation, I plan to…
After graduation, I am not exactly sure what I plan on doing. I just recently got married, so I don't feel a ton of pressure to get a job right away. I want to take a step back and really consider what type of work I want to pour myself into. Whether or not it becomes a paying job, I know that I want to volunteer and love people in my community both at church, and through other organizations. My deepest desire is to make a difference in the world for Jesus Christ and spread the hope that he has given me to others.
