Alliance Institutions Adjust Admissions Processes in Response to COVID-19

By April 24, 2020No Comments

The Alliance institutions encourage high school students to remain hopeful about their future and continue to pursue their collegiate goals. We are committed to communicating, collaborating, and engaging with students, families, and partners to identify and navigate the undergraduate admissions challenges presented by this ongoing public health crisis.

In response to Oregon Governor Kate Brown’s “Stay Home, Save Lives” order, the Alliance institutions acted quickly to make virtual campus tours, information sessions, and admissions counseling available to prospective students and their families. In turn, The Alliance updated its “Private Colleges” webpage to include a “Virtual Visit” link for each institution. We encourage you to explore the creative ways the Alliance Admissions Offices are engaging with prospective students!

Additionally, the Alliance institutions are prepared to be as flexible as possible in their undergraduate admissions processes. After surveying the Alliance Admissions/Enrollment Managers about the adjustments they are making, The Alliance synthesized their responses into a collective “Oregon Private College Undergraduate Admissions Flexibility During COVID-19” statement.
