TUALATIN – The Oregon Alliance of Independent Colleges and Universities is proud to share that eleven of its member colleges and universities have been included in the 2023 U.S. News & World Report’s Best Colleges rankings.

Best Colleges has four overall rankings: National Universities, National Liberal Arts Colleges, Regional Universities, and Regional Colleges. Within each of these four overarching rankings, there are distinct areas where colleges and universities are ranked by their academic missions, which include categories such as social mobility, best value, and undergraduate teaching. The rankings are determined based on a variety of factors, such as academic quality, graduation rates, faculty resources, diversity, affordability, and more. To learn more about how U.S. News & World Report calculates their rankings, please visit this page.

All eleven of The Alliance’s ranked colleges and universities earned a spot on the “Top Performers in Social Mobility” list and half are included on the “Best Value Schools” ranking within each of the four categories. These rankings are a direct reflection of our member institution’s commitment to serving their student’s unique needs, providing tailored educational opportunities, and helping to create a path forward to thrive beyond graduation.
