SAM PASMANN

Mechanical Engineering Major with History Minor, Junior
Hometown: Salt Lake City, Utah

On campus, Sam is involved in several of academic clubs, such Robotics, MARS Rover, and SEDS (the Students for the Exploration and Development of Space). Sam spent last fall semester in London, studying abroad to acquire his minor in history. This summer, he is working with a professor as a research intern to build a nuclear fusion reactor and to complete the NAE Grand Challenges Scholars Program. Sam has been a tour guide for the Office of Admissions and is now working as a Student Ambassador. “When choosing where I wanted to go for college, I wanted a small liberal arts school with a good engineering program – that narrows the list down quite a bit. I really fell in love with UP after seeing campus for the first time. The thing I like most about our school is its amazing sense of community. You will meet the most amazing people and feel that you are really cared for here at UP.”
